Gain expertise on typography and InDesign. Hear tips and techniques for choosing, combining, setting professional level type, including:
• Hyphenation and justification settings
• The importance of paragraph, character, and object styles
• Managing widows, orphans, and runts
• Working with layout and baseline grids
About the Presenter
Nigel French is a graphic designer, author, artist, and trainer based in the feisty town of Lewes, East Sussex, UK. He is author of InDesign Type: Professional Typography with Adobe InDesign, published in its third edition by Adobe Press, and more than 30 titles in the lynda.com online training library. He also writes a type-related column for InDesign Magazine. His website is www.nigelfrench.com — one of these days he will update it.
Parking is free for three hours in the parking lot below the library. Parking is free for one hour in the lot south of the library.

Be prepared to show us indication of your current residence—perhaps a CDL or a utility bill. Decision of LAIDUG administrators is final.
